It’s been a long, long time since I’ve done a Love the Locals post, but I’m so thrilled to be jumping back in with a feature on one of my favorite hidden gems in Columbus.
Tucked away on S. High St, Explorer’s Club is an unassuming little restaurant inhabiting the space of a historic home. Like its off-the-beaten path location, the Explorer’s Club menu takes us all over the world. From the far corners of Asia to the island of Puerto Rico to your momma’s kitchen table, this restaurant marries adventure and comfort food like no other place in town.
There’s so much I love about this quirky, cozy little joint, but of course, it starts with the food. And if there’s one thing I can’t resist, it’s macaroni and cheese. It just so happens, Explorer’s Club mac is my favorite in the city. It sticks to the basics–five cheeses, a hint of garlic, and a sprinkling of parsley–but it takes basic to an extraordinary new level. I could keep telling you about it, or I could just show this picture:
Yeah. It’s even better than it looks.
I’m sharing more mouthwatering photos, discussing the wonders of Caribbean Jerk Chicken, and revealing the name of the glorious concoction below over on the Collaboreat website today. Head on over there to check it out, then take a drive down South High. You won’t be disappointed!
