Easy Prime Rib Roast with Horseradish Cream

This gorgeous prime rib roast uses the closed door method to produce a perfectly medium rare prime rib with a crisp, golden brown exterior.

INGREDIENTS

Beef bone in rib roast

Coarse Kosher salt

Garlic powder

Black pepper

For the roast:

For the horseradish cream:

Heavy cream

Mayonnaise

INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1 Set the roast on a plate and allow it to rest uncovered in the fridge overnight.

STEP 2 Two hours before you're ready to cook the meat, remove it from the fridge. Mix together the salt, garlic powder, and black pepper, and rub it all over the roast.

STEP 3 About 30 minutes before you're ready to bake, preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
