Start a pot of salted water to boil. You’ll want to cook the pasta while you’re making the sauce, so they’re done at relatively the same time.

Toss the seafood with seasonings, then heat a large skillet over medium high heat.

Add the seasoned shrimp and scallops to the pan, cooking for about 1½ minutes per side, or until shrimp is pink and opaque.

Remove the seafood to a plate and set aside while you prepare the pasta.
