Candied Maple Pecans

These Candied Maple Pecans are made with just three ingredients and are the perfect sweet and salty snack to have on hand around the holidays or throughout the year. Add them to salads or charcuterie boards, or place them in jars for an easy hostess or neighbor gift!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw unsalted pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt (to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread the pecans over the sheet and drizzle with maple syrup, stirring to coat. Redistribute the pecans evenly across the pan. Roast for 6 minutes, stir, then roast another 5-6 minutes, or until the maple syrup is foamy and thinned out.
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle the pecans with salt and toss, then transfer to a clean sheet of parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, spreading out the pecans so they don't stick together. Cool completely before storing.

Notes

  • Store cooled pecans in an airtight container at room temperature. They'll keep for about two weeks.
  • Feel free to add your own favorite spices! I like to add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon around the holidays. Cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and finely chopped herbs are also lovely.
