Homemade Taco Seasoning

This Homemade Taco Seasoning makes weeknight dinners a breeze. The recipe makes a big batch so you’ll have plenty on hand for tacos, casseroles, soups, and more!

Ingredients
 

  • 6 Tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 3 teaspoons paprika (I usually use smoked paprika)
  • 3 Tablespoons cumin
  • 6 teaspoons sea salt
  • 4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a small jelly jar with a lid.
  • Seal tightly and shake well to combine.

Notes

  • To use, add 2 Tablespoons of seasoning to 1 lb. of meat along with a teaspoon or two of water. Season soups and casseroles to taste. Store in a cool, dry place.
