Weekly Family Meal Plan 165

It’s been a hard few weeks in our house.  We’ve been trading sicknesses, our dearest 5 month old has decided sleeping isn’t really his thing, and on top of it all, I developed mastitis.

I find it really difficult to ask for help, but I knew we needed it. I reached out to a few friends to ask for prayer and was overwhelmed with encouragement, generous offers of babysitting, and food delivery. It was humbling and beautiful and so, so appreciated.

If you find yourself in the midst of a similarly difficult season, I hope you know it’s okay to need help. It’s okay to be weak. It’s okay to be overwhelmed. Reach out to your tribe, and let them love you well. It will be a blessing for you and for them.

Is there anything more comforting than a home cooked casserole delivered to your door? I’m pretty sure casseroles actually have healing powers. After the week we’ve had, it seems only fitting that this week’s meal plan would be filled with casseroles.

Don’t worry. You won’t get bored with this line up. We’ve got an enchilada casserole, a Reuben casserole (!!), and everyone’s favorite “can I bring you some food?” meal- Mom’s Cottage Cheese Lasagna.
