Red, White, and Blue White Chocolate Pudding Pops
These Red, White, and Blue White Chocolate Pudding Pops are a cinch to throw together and perfect for Fourth of July parties!
Among the many things I love about the Mr. is his stellar impression of Bill Cosby’s classic pudding pop commercials. He manages to hit all the “p”s with just the right amount of emphasis and enthusiasm. Slap a color block knit sweater on him, and I swear you’d think he was the real deal. At any rate, his impression never fails to make me laugh and then immediately start craving pudding pops.
Little did I know, pudding pops are ridiculously (ludicrously, unbelievably) easy to make. All it takes is a box of instant pudding, milk, and a little whipped topping to create these creamy frozen treats.
For this festive Fourth of July version, I decided to use a white chocolate pudding base. It was a close choice between that and cheesecake, but in the end white chocolate won me over. I wanted to keep these as simple as possible, so I just whipped up the pudding pop mixture (it takes less than 5 minutes) then layered it with fresh berries. You can assemble these in regular popsicle holders, but I found a small paper dixie cup worked just as well and made for easy clean up.
I absolutely LOVED the way these turned out. I must admit, I felt a swelling of patriotic pride at the site of them. I may have even broken out into a little “purple mountains majesty” while I was taking pictures. Okay, not really, but they do make you want to fist bump America a little bit, right?
One note on the recipe: if you have sensitive teeth, the sliced strawberries can be a bit tough to bite into. In that case, you may want to smash them up before pouring them in the cup. I loved eating the whole frozen blueberries though. They were like little bursts of berry ice cream. Whether you choose to smash up the fruits or leave them whole, the pudding is thick enough to layer on top without having to freeze each layer individually.
Take a couple minutes and whip up these frozen treats for your Fourth of July spread. People will be breaking out into the Star Spangled Banner before you know it.

These look amazingly delicious and refreshing. I can’t wait to make some. And I really want to hear the Mr.’s Bill Cosby impression. ๐ Those commercials were classic.
Haha! You’ll have to remind him to do it next time we’re together. It’s hilarious!

Haha! I don’t even consider myself especially patriotic, but there is something about red, white, and blue food that brings it out in me. ๐
That’s all i can dream of on these hot summer days! Perfecta!
Me too! Popsicles are where it’s at these days!

I want to fist pump these pops!! And by fist pump, I obviously mean lick my way through a batch. So fun!
Umm totally! Licking is way better than fist pumping when it comes to pops.
